Thurs. April 15, 20202 by Rick Potvin, Piano Performer and Teacher in Phoenix AZ-- but still a Canadian citizen with a Greeeen Card (it's actually not green but pink-- go figure). So I had occasion to go to Home Depot today, one of my favorite things to do. But today, they had the entrance blocked off and the masked bandit said I had to enter "over there", pointing to another entrance through a maze of blockades.

What a complete moron. HOME DEPOT is taking this too far-- no law says they have to do this. I looked at the moron and said "you don't need that mask" and pointed at him. My self-control is apparently boiling over into confrontational mode-- ... not good. I better be careful, I think to myself. I say something to the wrong person and I'm likely to get my head bashed in. So I catch myself.

Inside, Home Depot has erected huge pexiglass shields around the cashiers. The cashier greeted me. I have decided to ignore all "precautionary morons" like cashiers behind shields and clerks wearing masks. I simply responded with a no-glance and no-words. If what these moronic spell-bound fools want is separation, then separation is what I'll deliver.

I'm convinced that the corporate cooperation with this idiocy and other individuals who voluntarily wear scarfs and masks indicates that they are not "afraid of a killer virus floating through the air"-- but... rather are on a political drive... consistent with Trump hate. This is simply another more venemous round of it.
